Email to SMS API
Prerequisites
Log into your the MobileWorks web control panel (www.smsglobal.com.au/mobileworks/) and go to the Preferences page.
Enable the "Email to SMS" option and click Save.
Then you need to add the FROM email addresses that are going to be sending the email so we can match it up to your account. You can add multiple addresses this this. Click the link "Add email address or wildcard domain"
You can also specify the length of the SMS message (to optionally support messages longer than 160 chars)
Email to SMS API
Send an email to xxxxxxxxx@sms.smsglobal.com.au where xxxxxxxxx is your phonenumber you wish to send to. e.g. 0409317436@sms.smsglobal.com.au
You must send the email FROM the one of the email addresses that you have authorised to send the Email to SMS option enabled as mentioned above.
Leave the subject Blank if you want. (It is ignored)
In the message body, type in your SMS message. It supports both HTML and TEXT emails.
Press SEND. It's that simple!
Reply SMS back to your Email Inbox
By default, it is setup, so that the mobile phone user, can just reply to the message on their phone, and you will receive their reply back instantly into your email inbox. The same email address registered to your account.
This enables full tracking and archiving of the email messages in your own Inbox/Outbox.
You can send the same message to multiple mobile phones just by adding more numbers into the TO: field. e.g. 0409317436@sms.smsglobal.com.au; 0409317436@sms.smsglobal.com.au
